This is not whining, it's FRAUD - and YOU pay for it.
""It's an entertainment," said the executive, who asked to keep his name and company anonymous. "Why do you run into a store without dropping a quarter in the meter? You know it's wrong, but you do it."

Joes is trying to make this activity sound like a harmless prank. It's not harmless, it's fraud, and the one that ends up paying for fraud is YOU the customer. And THAT'S assuming that the defrauded company can survive the financial assault.

Think I'm exagerating? I run a small (VERY small) in-home business. 99% of my advertising is with Google and Overture and a concerted click-attack on my site would put me out of business.

Perhaps the best suggestion I've heard so far is to go to a pay-per-sale model. This would solve the problem AND provide better value to both the provider and the business!
