Wow you don't understand DNS at all do you?
HOSTS, Windows?? If it wasn't funny, it'd make me cry!!! Thats the most assinine comment I've read in weeks. Thanks for the laugh.

Maybe you can clue in us "programmers" as to how a HOSTS file on Windows prevents the root servers from returning the IP of the sitefinder "service" rather than an NXDOMAIN for domains which don't exist when there is a wildcard in the .com and .net root zones.

Maybe I could try this:-

NXDOMAIN ip.of.site.finder

yeah that's it, that's going to work...

Oh, no its not, maybe I could try this:-

sitefinder.verisign.com 127.0.0.1
