Once again, Verisign uses their position for monopolistic advantage
More and more, Verisign proves just how much they hate consumers and Internet users, in favor of their own bottom line. I had to switch all of my company's domain names to a new registrar because Verisign so badly bungled them that they took down a couple of our websites for several WEEKS.

Now, they want to hijack the Internet so they can make money selling misspelled domain names and selling advertisements on their "Site Finder" pages. This should be the last straw. ICANN should pull their contract with Verisign and transfer their official duties to a nonprofit. Verisign can stay on as a registrar, but they'd no longer have this great advantage over all the others.

And their survey? Like others have said, unless they release the actual questions and results, then it's total horsehockey.
