What about all the other legacy code?
Ok, so Microsoft is finally trying to dabble with removing some of their legacy code, this is very good. However they need to do it more gradually much like how one needs to gradually enter a hot tub of water instead of jumping right in. Microsoft needs to warm it's user base up to the idea of getting rid of the heavy luggage before it removes it completely, but in the end if they apply this courage to the operating system core itself as well I feel that the Windows product will be significantly improved. Of course Windows 7 sounds like it's supposed to have a core that's stripped of the legacy code finally but we shall see...
