As always, FOLLOW THE MONEY...
Any time something like this happens there is an absolute test, "who made the bucks"??? In this case the accounting "irregularity" provide what appeared to be a great quarter, drove the stock price up, and the top two execs made off with $35 million. Funny how it was the accountant that made the change and the CEO he reports to huh?

Do things like this upset investors? You know it does. Is it grounds for a law suit? Again, you bet it is. You see, a good number of folks think it is fundementally wrong for the two execs in a company to walk away with millions while the stock goes down the toilet.

Can you say Enron???
