I think Thuurston needs to et his act together. At the end of the article, he say's, "Microsoft could offer no comment at the time of writing on why it had blocked access to the file formats." Earlier in the same article, he had already stated the answer,"...Microsoft said SP3 blocked access to those formats because they were less secure than newer versions". Wow, how mucher simpler could it be?
