- Read Fred Brooks, The Mythical Man Hour. It's an excellent and easy read from a man who has dedicated years to study of the software development phneomenon (manager of the OS/360 project, before retiring to professorship). As he shows, adding people to a project increases the number of interactions, need for more meetings, etc. After a certain point, adding people can catually delay a project.
