Microsoft needs to get serious about educating users

Man that saying sounds so familiar. Oh, yeah. I was talking to a national gaurdsman the other day. He was getting deployed to Iraq. I asked him if he was worried about roadside bombs. He told me those soldiers who died from those bombs died because they were trained correctly. What the !#$!#$. Okay thats just stupid. Training will not deflect bullets. It will ALSO not save you from security holes you are not aware of. Sure, those soldiers could have seen the roadside bomb if they went looking but the problem is that they are doing something else at the time. This is akin that most users have work to do with the computer and do not have the time to sit on SecurityFocus or other websites to get "educated" on the security failures of Microsoft.

So shutup with the "its not the software" and "its just stupid users" BS and go get a real motto like "MS should build more secure software".

Than you can join the rest of us in the real world.
