Here's one problem though...
When you install Windows XP, it MAKES you make the first common user you install be a system administrator. Even though there is also an administrator account for just that purpose, you HAVE to make one of the common users an administrator too. And if you use the easy login feature, administrator isn't even listed, so you have to use this common account to install programs and updates. So people (home users especially) just wind up making EVERYBODY an administrator so you don't have to bother logging someone else in when they need to.

So if the installation program does not encourage safe computing habits (and there are other things the installation program does to make things unsafe on a default installation), how do you expect MS to be able to educate users after the fact?
