You cannot install drivers or most programs (including Microsoft's) unless you are the admin. At the office, that is a good thing because I got sick of uninstalling Comet Cursor and GAIN software before I took away the admin rights.

If I set up a PC for home users, I make each family member a separate account and only give one or them admin rights. Otherwise, the installed default is one account with full administrative privileges. Now didn't the programmers at MS set that default to begin with? So much for security from the start...
