Worldcom will recover eventually. They have the size, customer base, and longevity to survive in the long run.

Red Hat doesn't have any of that, so they'll suffer if this was a "cooking the books" situation.

Personally I don't see evidence of anything other than a difference in accounting philosophy, which I see all the time. But again, we don't have all the evidence, so time will tell.
