But it symbolism for exactly what this is if they were to implant these. Being in the right hand or forehead is actually rather meaningless in the whole scheme of things. The symbolic statement is you are marked as nothing more than numbers and de-humanized.

People take the bible far to literally. First off it's pieces were written thousands of years ago. So the culture of then is entirely differnt than the culture today, for example women are not property today like they were in biblical times. Next the pieces were put together by those wishing exert power over others so pieces were left out that didn't suite thier needs at the time. As well there were parts that weren't found until after the bible was created. Then there is the translations, both from one language to another and from one age of a language to another. As well the bible highly makes uses symbolism and metaphors to make a point.

Nothing agaist the Bible here as I'm a Christian but you can't read it like a law statute like many Christians I know do. You can learn a lot of things from it if you take it in context and don't take it literally.
