As a VAR, I don't think so.
Yes, it would make sense if all you are dealing with is Fortune 1000 companies, but, that isn't the real world. The real world is made up of millions of small businesses that simply can not afford "specialists" for every move they make. Hmm, sort of like doctors I suppose. The very wealthy see specialists for every little thing while Joe Average see's his GP doctor.

If MS is serious about upping the level of training and knowledge, they really need to change the certification process and end the practice of "teaching the test" by third parties.
