Patent office to re-examine Eolas patent

Well, if the prior art is compelling enough

Eolas can go sit in the corner with SCO, cause they'll be just as toasted in the tech community. That patent worth millions might become a junk bond after the collapse, and the one man company a one man unemployment line standee.

The patent system needs a serious revamp, has needed it. Copyright, patents, trademarks, the latest greatest cash cow for the CEO set, not the inventor. But hey, Microsoft, IBM, Sun, etc etc keep buying patents and copyrights left and right to leverage against each other and stashed away for future possible uses. It doesn't dent their pocketbooks much, just makes others scramble around their woes.

Part of the reason you'll never see the common cold wiped out, . . it would be long term profittable, once patented.
