You are mistaken
You do not seem to understand the difference. While all OS's are subject to flaws, vulnerabilities & hacking. Windows and other MS products are the only one that gets these types of viruses.

It may seem plausible to many that windows seems most effected because it dominates the majority. This is a factor but in no way is it the reason!

MS created features and functions originally to improve functionality and interoperability (mostly for their on products) and to upsell other products to developers and businesses. I speak of WScript, ActiveX, VB, & MShtml.
These were attractive and easy to use, but were non standard to create lock in. But the worst part is that they were and are very poorly designed.

The same mechanism that makes windows/office easy to use is the same mechanism which make and propagate these viruses as well as spy/adware and even the windows update feature. Do you ever wonder why you patch and patch and still more viruses, worm, exploits emerge. Because they never fix the core problem and even use it as a form of built in planned obsolescence to sell you the next version (Maybe longhorns delay is an indication they might actually address the problem... but I doubt it)


Either way becoming more aware of the alternatives gives you more options.And the more familiar you become with the alternatives the less need you have for MS.
