I can agree with

No virus worries. And I really believe that virus's will be a non-issue for Linux based systems. But as far as no hacker worries, that is a bad way of thinking. Hackers are more dangerous than virus's and to think you are immune to hacking just because you use Linux... I am a Linux user, have been since September 1999, but even I am not stupid enough to think I am immune to a determined hacker!

Yes I have a multi-layered security system installed, yes I keep a close eye on my system. But that does not mean I am immune to a hacker! No system is immune or safe from a determined hacker unless that system is not connected to the internet. It's that simple. Safety from a hacker comes only because we are small beans. Not really worth the effort.... yet. When the days of auto virus infections become numbered watch as active hacking increases to replace what e-mail trojans and virus's once accomplished.
