Microsoft's Only Competitor Is Itself And This Proves It.
While companies like Novell borrow money to stay afloat and SCO sues it's customers to increase the bottom line, Microsoft is busy fighting piracy and creating product innovations. Why? Because they are their own only real competitor. Microsoft isn't spending a lot of time and money convincing people not to switch to Linux or Novell, uh, the other Linux. They're busy trying to convince people not to be so satisfied with their older software. Open source doesn't work. It's a bad business model and as an IT manager, you can't deploy infrastructure based on someone's interpritation of an operating system. That's why Windows is working and will continue to dominate the world.
