All the right players to force MS to rethink their browser strategy
Alot of big names joining forces to make all browsers work closely together(except IE which runs it's own course), will really help web developers and the people who surf the web. If everyone would stay within the standards it would make it alot easier, but everyone wants to add different functionality, to make their browser different. This in itself causes problems, but if all working together on a set of standards then this will help all.

Just my 2 cents of course.
