Fight spyware with freeware

Just install some good freeware security apps:

ZoneAlarm

Spybot Search & Destroy

Javacool Software Spyware Blaster (get it only from http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html --beware of imitations)

Browser: Mozilla and Firefox have built-in popup blocking. If you must use MSIE, get the Google Toolbar which blocks popups.

And get a good HOSTS file from http://accs-net.com/hosts/get_hosts.html
