There is nothing really innovative about an operating system anymore.
Just when you thought Apple was getting it right with products like i-Pod and QuickTime, they have to go and do something stupid like divert resources to a segment of the market where the battle is clearly over. A new G5 is $2k. A new Dell with Windows XP is $800. For 99.99999% of the population, they pretty much do the same thing, let you type a letter, do some math, surf the internet, send and receive some email, play games. Granted you'll end up with less viruses and trojans than you would on a Windows System, but that's assuming you do nothing to protect yourself. The point is, there is nothing really all that innovative about an operating system anymore. I wish Apple would stop beating that dead horse and move on with the real innovation it's shown in the past.
