Everyone sees this 'hole' in Microsoft's armor. Sadly, none can do much about it. No single company has enough products in line to compete with microsoft to truly take advantage to this delayed release. And when Longhorn is realeased: watch out! The heavily patented, proprietary, non-standards based Longhorn will prevent easy future migration to alternative desktops.

Its over people. As soon as Longhorn is released the "battle for the desktop" is pretty much over. And since Longhorn locks in with Longhorn servers ONLY you can also say goodbye to the server market.
