Won't matter in any way, shape or form.

All that I see in the devlopment world tells me that if *I* don't do something, someone else will.

Like the atom bomb, technology reached a point that its delopment WOULD happen regardless of there having been a Mannhattan Project or not. Other countries were just as deep into figuring it out as the US was. We just got there ahead of them by a few months.

As they say, you can not put the genie back in the bottle.
