Considering the current dynamic of the Home User os market Linux isn't wiping out any monopoly. The small increases they've made in the business market... also not wiping out any monopoly.

Once the desktop product matures into a more robust system maybe it will make some headway in the desktop market.

NEWS FLASH LINUX WRITERS. Bare bones OS with 0 integration and no bundled functionality are great for servers. Users want more.
