and who the f*** is going to pay for this?
this is industry protectionism at it's worst. to summarize.
1) we have an industry that has been CONVICTED of illegal price fixing that cost th eamrican consumer almost $500 Million
2) had laws in place about LIMITED copyrights so that the ARTIST could benifit from hi work.
3) the record industry has been shown to con artists out of their work with little or no compensation.
4) the record industry has lobbied (read: bought) laws that make copyrights last longer than the artists' life times.
5) the industry started suing it's own customers.
6) in industry realized that it's losing money doing it.
7) the industry buys a new law into place that makes the american consumer pay to persecute itself for an act that causes no demonstrated harm.

for the corperation, by the corperation, and of the corperation... so what ever happened to "we the people?"
