FOR THE RECORD
My original "Now THAT'S Innovation" post was sarcasm (I
thought the "decent UI" part made that apparent). I have
used Mozilla for the last 18 months, and never looked
back.

Any web site that doesn't work with Mozilla or Safari but
that I still have to use (e.g. on-line brokerage, banking)
gets an email from me. If I'm their customer, I tell them to
clean up their code or I'll take my business elsewhere. This
is especially important in the Macintosh world, because MS
is no longer developing IE for the Mac -- and soon, it will
be impossible to use such sites from a Mac at all (although
some will work with Omniweb).

BTW, I have considered continuing with the companies that
won't recode and simply doing all my on-line business by
phone. I figure I do on-line banking 20 times a month, and
if I call instead, I'll end each phone call with, "Oh, and
please tell your supervisor that I would do this transaction
on-line if your web site supported open standards and I
could use my Macintosh." This might get the message
across more effectively than changing banks.

Last of all, I know that "trustworthy computing" provides
nothing for consumers and everything for the MPAA and
RIAA. It's a sham, and without a switch to the Mac or
Linux, MS will have us further over that barrel soon.

Anyhow, take care,

- Scott
