Should have known...

A anti-fanboy would search the posts for the word linux just to type a useless reply.

So that this post has some substance:
Cyclone's is a very valid post when you compare it to many of the annoying MS and Linux posts on these boards. Infact, it is more valid than yours (and mine) as he actually includes the article's subject.

Here is what I got from his post:
People like him use third party clients because Yahoo doesn't support the OS he does IMing on (assumption), which happens to be Linux. Then he added an opinion that Linux matters.

I really don't see what is wrong with that. It could have been Mac for all we care. The point was support for their OS is lacking so they use other means. Now if he just said "Linux Rocks, Yahoo sucks"... you got something. For a guy who claims neutrality, you sure picked the wrong post to diss.
