Trillian
I have been using messenger services for years... (started with ICQ with a four digit number starting with 1 if that says anything) I find it ridiculous for Yahoo, MSN, AOL, or any of the other services that try to LIMIT FUNCTIONALITY of the overall messenging concept... over the years I have seen them come and go, I have multiple usernames with each of the services in question... the programs that they offer as a PROPRIETARY AND LIMITING function LIMITS ME IN MY SUPPORT OF USERS CONTACTING ME AS A NETWORK CONSULTANT this cuts into MY pockets, costing ME money... I LOST revenue when Yahoo changed protocols last year, because my normal procedure for contact was interrupted backup of cell phone usage was required then... had cell phone bill due to this period of over 900.00 from 80.00 from sudden support calls from this "Outage" Yahoo does NOT support multiple instances of it's program, this alone would be necessary for me to continue using their services... this is why I started using Trillian, Gabber, Jabber... et al.... I NEED the functionality in my WORK environment for this... to Yahoo I say BAD DOG!!! NO biscuit!!! if this keeps up I will likely say goodbye to them at all... even if it costs me money... I do not feel that they are supporting my needs as a customer... and I am not a spammer... nor a spimmer...I am a network engineer and consultant... I have legitimate NEED for the functionality of these types of programs... Asche
