My 2 cents...
I have not had a chance to use all the features of Gmail yet, but whatever I have see so far, has not been all that attractive yet. And since Yahoo has increased their mailbox size to 100MB, I think it seems even more attractive.

Here's what I like the most about all three (hotmail, yahoo and Gmail) and hope all three are listening to make their services include all these features.

Hotmail: 1. I love their "Exclusive" spam filter. If you are not in my contacts list, your email doesn't see my inbox. Period. I love that ferature. Occassionally I miss an email or two, because some one I know emailed me from a new address. Or some service I signed up for sends me generic email which goes into junk box. But I check the junk mail box for such occassions. Its simpler this way, I think.

Hotmail 2: Option to download messages through a standardized email client such as Outlook, for whatever reason. All my hotmail emails are portable from that perspective, i just don't like Outlook Express, so I don't exercise that option, but I know that its there if I needed it.

Yahoo Mail 1. Love the 100 Mb mail box size.
Yahoo Mail 2: Love their addressbook Import/Export facility. Most of my contacts are on hotmail since that's where i started, and hotmail only lets you export (that too indirectly through outlook express) contacts; Once I had my contacts (about 400+ I think) on my PC as an addressbook file, I can then convert to CSV file and Yahoo let me import them. I didn't have to add them one by one. I like that feature. Portability of contacts.

Gmail 1: I love the 1GB option. Can't imagine filling it ever, but its good to know its there.
Gmail 2: Search option is more trustworthy, although I can say that Yahoo and Hotmail also let me search quite simply and effectively within my mails.

There, I have laid down the best aspects I like about the Free email providers. Of course, the bestetest part with all of these is that they are in fact FREE. Can't ever forget that and must appreciate this. Thank you Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail for providing such an excellent service at no cost to us:-)
