Hotmail to offer 250MB of free storage

Size doesn't matter . . .

Because I was going on a longer than usual holiday this year I decided to pay for a hotmail upgrade, because I was worried I would lose my account/email address that is plastered on all my letterheads, business cards, invoices etc. etc.

It struck me a few days later that this was the first time I had ever paid any money directly to MS. Apart from OEM operating systems, I've had the use of Internet Explorer, Media Player, Outlook Express, and countless other utilities from MS "free" of charge.

It seems a bit of a cheek for people to complain about the lack of function from a service that is free! MS may not be the best loved company in the world, everyone hates the big kid in the playground who gets his own way BECAUSE he is big, But MS is a lot more generous than any school bully I've ever known!

If you really want to loosen the hold of MS in the IT market, tell everyone you know how good Open Office is!
