I loved your commend on the you got spam thing.. check this out and tell your friends! please :o) I did!!
First off, I want to say that hotmail has been a great pioneer in the area of free email but they are about the lose the battle. I have been using hotmail for years and recently I signed up for a free email at weekendrush.net and I must say that it is far better. They offer 6 megs of storage that I dont get spammed or my email address sold at. Also, it doesn't offer my email online in a directory like my past yahoo account does. I also did a personal test a week ago and in only 3 days I literally got 300 emails over the weekend at my hotmail account. ALL SPAM! In my Weekendrush account ive had since may, i have only gotten about 4 spams and they were the ones I get with the free service. guess what??? I unsubscribed and have NEVER heard from them again!! :o) This makes me so so happy. I would say the whole world should get a free weekendrush account. Plus i got my name @weekendrush.net instead of john1967corvette@weekendrush.net - that my friend is now my past. I will never have to worry about missing emails from friends due to them not remembering my fave car and year, etc.

did i mention the spam and virus protection!?! check it out!
