IMHO: Novell may have a winner here
Depending on how the product is marketed, Novell may just have a winner on their hands. I've used both the SuSe desktop and the Ximian desktop in business settings, and both are excellent products. They come with everything one would need and allow you to configure them as you see fit. I think if the marketing for these products goes well, you might see more and more people giving it a try. I don't see MS losing market share immediately, but over time that may change due to people knowing what alteratives are out there. MS is known by everyone, even lil old granny's thanks to advertising everywhere. Novell needs to advertise like MS does so it can teach non-IT people about the alternatives.

On another note, I also think if people open their minds and give this product a good chance, it might open some eyes, because it is a good product.

In reality, it all comes down to choose what you need, or what works for your purpose, not what some commercial tells you. Use whatever you wish, the beauty of choice.
