This effects artists too
This law could allow the RIAA to sue artists. If an independent artist looks like a threat who is using P2P, I know of few bands doing this, then the RIAA could actually use this law against them.

Just imagine. You have a band and you been filling concert halls by using P2P to advertise you music. You make income off an entry fee and mechandise(CDs, shirt, posters, ect) sold at the concerts. As you grow in size and start touring the country the RIAA slaps you with a lawsuit using this new law. As your music entices people to download music that is protected by copyright. They come first to download your songs and since they are sharing music they share copyright protected music and download copyright protected music too. After all how can you tell what is authorized to be there or not. The desire to access your music entices one to use this service.

I mean this could effect me but luckily I don't live in the US. I can distribute free software on P2P for a certain project comming in the future where my software is free but using require connecting to my server where I charge a fee.

This guy anti-capitolist Hatch wants to crush anyone who wants to use the net legitimately for business.
