Maybe a new version would help
Windows XP PDC version.

The Windows XP for PDC would be for People of Diminished Capacity. This platform could have anything Joe Average is unaware can cause undue harm (example: IE's advanced default settings, remote services, etc., etc., etc.) disabled and force Joe to pass a quiz prior to enabling any of these functions.

The MS marketing machine would like to have Joe Average think that he can go through setup & get online, without being zombified. XP was touted to be the most secure and stable platform there ever was. Most of us in this forum know otherwise but the bottom line is that MS is at fault for deceptive marketing, shipping product with insecure default settings, and for believing people would download 40MB patches over a 56K dialup connection.

We should all help these persons of diminshed capacity whenever we can because MS gets their tax then abandons them until the next release (which will undoubtably be marketed as the easiest to use, most secure, always stable, and infinitely scalable OS platform known to man).
