Adware and Spyware are both evil!
Firstly I agree the IE should be fixed so that these types of programs cant work. I also believe that the only "pop up" windows that I want on my system are the ones from a link I choose to click on.

I remember a day when the biggest hassle was unsighly banner ads. No I would prefer those to all the garbage floating around today such as the flash ads, pop ups, pop unders... etc.

With all the crap hitting my e-mail accounts.. I dont want to have to deal with crap in my web pages as well. Thank the Internet Gods for PopUpCop and similar programs that can help.

As an added note.... Its a shame there are so many folks out there who are "uneducated" about the "evils" on the Internet. Those poor people who have no clue about opening attachments, running anti-virus software... yadda yadda. Those same folks who cant figure out why they have to close 10 windows because they clicked on ONE link.

Fixing the browsers should be priority one. Educating folks on the Internet and it's software should run a close second.
