People just download it music
When they buy a copy restricted disk. I know I did that when I bought Metallica's St. Anger disk. I mean it was pretty much the only way I could listen to the music while the CD sits there collecting dust.

Now this goes to show that copy restrictions just encourage downloading on p2p. So what's the point of protecting this. Those restrictions are like taking cattle prods to consumers pushing them in direction of P2P.

The DMCA is really silly too in that it seems to have only been used in case where it either lost or was not used for its intended purpose.
