The real story please?
Come on...
Most businesses do not NEED instant messaging. The occasional remote sites communicating with a corporate office "may" find IM useful. The bottom line is corporate hedgehogs are not going to put another communication device on desks when people already have a telephone, email, pagers, personal phones, oh and lets include faxes. People already have numerous ways to communicate and instant messaging is just another productivity killer when put into the wrong hands (read lazy workers).
