Do you speak about Microsoft System Center BIG?
The MS ads on this page for MS System Center are effectively driving us to nothing else than just commercial papers.
System Center is just FUD. Lots of complication, lots of complicated maintenance, very expensive licences.
The only interest of MS System Center is to manage the MS licences deployed on enterprise desktops. Such system performs almost nothing else.
For discovery services, directories, there are better and scalable solutions in open-source, that are much easier to deploy on heterogeneous environments and networks (something that any LARGE organization really needs, unless it stupidly chooses to use exclusively Microsoft products and nothing else; MS System Center cannot really manage all the computing and networking architecture, simply because of its excessive protetion mechanisms that are blocking open networks and connections from remote sites using various technologies).

Microsoft incorrectly assumes that large organizations use homogeneous systems, and can make migrations instantly. This is a too risky operation to perform for any large organization, whose deployment strategies are scheduled with severeal levels, and performed by small successive steps locally, including tests. It's unavoidable, simply because any large organization has lots of operations coordinated with lots of systems for its customers or providers.
