Copy blocking hurts only the ones that
don't have intentions to "harm" the industry and don't have the means or know how to circumvent, but in no way gives credit or blessings to the copy protection scheme, its useage and the industry operating in panick mode. Seems a large enough segment of the public isn't focused on the necessary involvement of the consumer in shaping the laws that govern copy right and its mirror of Fair Use and the Home Recording Act, which the latter two are more and more watered down and side stepped by the music industry who long ago forgot how to grow consumer satisfaction as fast as they've grown their greed. It's sad. $9.99 - 18.99 today will get you no consumer rights tomorrow - hope the cd sounds sweeter now.

Oh, enjoy the CD while it lasts, depending on the copy blocking protection, it may have degraded the whole life span of the CD as it may have introduced errors that the machines can't compensate for as natural wear and tear chip years of the expected useage.

As for the people who've been sued and dealt with the music industry in court, I wonder what the ripple effect has been for them and their extended families and friends. They've probably gotten completely away from file swapping, but I wonder if they've become retail consumers. Did suing Johnny Q result in his family and friends and their friends and family buying or stop buying?

Oh well, back to listening to RIAA approved internet radio all day long, with a few annoying promos but no wages of mine going to the RIAA legal fund. Thumbs up RIAA, you're bandtastic!!!
