Coupla reasons
1) I am runnning into instances where I can convert
media on a PC that's harder to do on a Mac, specifically
anything related to Windows media. Just downloaded
the latest Windows Media Series 9 encoder on
Windows XP Professional running in Virtual PC 6 on
top of Mac OS 10.2.8. Surprisingly, this virtual setup on
a G4 laptop running at 1 GHz was converting as fast as
a 600 MHz Intel Pentium III on my computer at work.

2) You only need to carry one computer. happy

3) There's only a $100 differential between Office
Standard and Office Professional. That extra $100 buys
you the $129 Virtual PC program AND the licensed
version of Windows XP Professional to run on it. It's
cheaper than if I were buying an OEM version for a
PC...

I have only been using it for two days so my opinion
may change.
