It takes time
Given that it can take a large organization about two years to upgrade from NT4 to win2k, we can't expect to have many Linux migrations so soon.

Two years ago you couldn't even do drag & drop between your browser and your wordprocessor, today this is normal. The maximum file size was two gigabyte, today the problem is that they do not make that large disks to fully utilize the Linux capacity. Even if you created some software raid with the largest disks available, you would have to have so many that some of the disks would always be dead due to mechanical failures. Two years ago SMP worked well for up to 8 CPUs, today SGI make 64 CPU boxes etc. Two years ago Linux was not a vialble choise for other things than file sharing and webservers. Now it fits in the datacenter, and is starting to look promising on the desktop. The GUI works and gets more usable each day.

As Linux now is getting noticed by decision makers, rest assured that you will have a whole lot of Linux converts in two years time.

It take some time for the tea cup tempest to whip up the waves.
