BSI never publically declares, but voted No
And voted no because the proposal is flawed in many ways. It does not meet the criteria set down to be an ISO standard. A good file format standard should be implementable by more than one vendor (no, that does not include using supplied libraries to tinker with little bits of data within the file) and be forward looking.
