This is stupid
The RIAA and musicians' trade groups are worried that consumers might one day forgo buying albums or songs from iTunes-like services in favor of recording CD-quality songs off digital radio services

This has been happening for decades. I was doing it back before they even sold cassettes with reel to real tape recorder.

As for digital radio, everyone I know does this already and has been doing so since before Napster in mid 90s from Satalite digital radio stations. Twits! Hasn't it already been proven that this has no effect on sales? I mean you get to hear 1 song off an album and if you lucky you may up to 3 over a 2 year time span.

This is stupid! And wasn't it already decided long ago that recording publicly released music was no copyright infringement.
