Spyware is STEALING my Resources
The folks that blow off spy ware are forgetting several things. Among them is that I own, or in the case of my employer, they own, the computers. They own the hard drives, the memory, and the CPU's. The spy ware makes use of these resources WITHOUT permission in most cases.

Further, at home I pay for the cable modem connection. At the office my employer pays for the T1 connection. Not the sypware companies. Again using resources for which they did not pay nor receive permission to use.

As the Director of Technology and Research for a law firm, we are considering litigation against some of the spyware companies for unauthorized use of resources and the time it takes for me and my staff to repeatedly remove spyware. It is obvious that is going to be one of the few ways to curtail spyware. Gator and its kind can be forced to pay for what they steal!!!
