- I think perhaps...
- this was a voluntary thing. I had Earthlink back in the late 90's and they offered customers to download a program to voluntarily provide Earthlink with information so they could fix problems quicker. At least, that is how they presented it. I am sure AOL does it without asking, in their bloated so-called software. I don't work for a IP, but I have talked with techies at our small local cable company... you would be surprised what information they can gather without you even knowing it. Scarey. Very scarey!
