How about some journalism sometime in these flimsy stories? Why the disparity in perceptions?

A majority of users seem to know how to prevent spam, therefore they don't get spam, and thus they don't feel it is a problem. That other 30% of clueless users who sign up for every free giveaway, post on all sorts of web boards with their real email address, and send endless unsubscribe requests to spam and can't understand why they get more - they are the ones who'll agree that spam is a huge problem.

The managers have a much greater probability of feeling spam is a threat because they are much more likely to have at least one clueless user in their charge who is being affected by spam, because the manager is the one who realizes the threat that spam presents - the spyware, the malware, the revelation of a domain name that can be harvested for more addresses.
