Performance not Cost

Thats all well and good, but again it assume a totally level playing field where all players are equal and everyone knows everything and the only differentiator is cost.

That's just not what IT is, there are good IT staff and bad IT staff, there are experienced IT staff and inexperienced IT staff.

Hiring 100 people who haven't got a clue isn't better than hiring 1 who is clued up.

The US dominates IT, the staff have the experience, 90% of a companies IP is inside the heads of its staff, not in office memos or the powerpoint slides of the MBAs.

You also should treat these 'consulting' groups with caution. MBA's, business administration degrees, all rubbish.

At the very least an eCommerce consultant should have set up and run an eCommerce company. An IT specialist should have a basic working grasp of the 'T' in IT. MBA's and business administrations courses just don't hack it!
