Offshoring
The only way offshoring will be good for the U.S. economy is if companies send the help desk jobs away and then hire entry-level workers (i.e. fresh grads with A.S. or B.S. degrees) to fill the next level positions (i.e. network admins and such). Of course I'm not biased because I'm graduating with an A.S. degree in Network Administration... wink

If that doesn't happen (which it won't) then offshoring is terrible. It means that there's no way for entry-level people such as myself to get into IT since the jobs we would normally have to have (tech support/help desk) will be sent to India.
