Not entirely true

That's poor stats. It's proven that areas with gun control have lower crime rate involving guns. Gun control doesn't mean stopping crime. It also doesn't mean you can't own guns it just means it's harder for criminals to get there hands on guns.

So gun control is good thing. Poorly implemented gun control is not.

It just makes sense to require the need of license to own a gun so that you prove you know what you are doing with said gun. Just like driving a car. I don't like seeing morons with guns who don't have a clue what they are doing.

Restricting firearms makes sense because you don't need a AK47 to go hunting with. At the same time those restriction should have provision for gun collectors and the such who are registered as owning these types of weapons.

You shouldn't be able to sell a gun to just anyone at a garage sale. The sale of guns should be through process regulated by laws.

Having regulations on the ownership of guns that requires the firearm and ammo to be stored separately, the fire to be stored unloaded, and the fire to require a tigger lock is good.

Now implementing gun control doesn't mean crimes involving guns will decrease imediately. It could take a few decades for the current guns in circulation to be confiscated from criminals.
