backup
I only backup the stuff that I don't need to put in the drive to use it (Quicken, VS, etc).
Stuff that I do need to use the CD or DVD (like games) I do try to backup.

Then there are the ones my 2 toddlers use on their PC (they're not real careful).
And if I had made a copy of The Tigger Movie DVD when I bought it, I wouldn't have had to buy antoher when it became unplayable.

I also backup my personal files, mailbox, etc onto a DVD-RW weekly; and clone my entire HD every 4 months.
