Greed and Stupidity
This is just about the most stupid threat I have seen, in a while, except Darl and SCO.

Any patents that would apply would be beyond or near expiration AND you have to make effort to notify and eforce them long before they become a de facto standard or in more simple terms a generic standard.

I wonder who owns any of the remaining patents from Hayes? Where did BTG get these supposed patents and for which country or countries. A patent in the UK does not necessarily afford pratection in the US.

This sounds real suspect. If it is real it sounds like a grab for money. It is not going to work. I want to see the patents. There is something fishy here.

Is Darl (SCO) doing infomercials on how to make money by buying old patents and failing companies and litigating the rest of the world? It sure is sounding like it.

As Director of Research & Technology for a law firm I firmly believe there is a time and a place for litigation but this is suspect. It sounds more like SCO style greed and stupidity.
